Helping young people develop and cope

Your child may struggle with: anxiety and persistent worry, behavioral outbursts, difficulty going to and staying asleep, problems at school staying on task, social relationships or experiencing feelings of persistent sadness.

I work with teens individually and with families. When appropriate, parents are encouraged to participate and collaborate to build a network of support that promotes lasting change. My approach to working with children is experiential and tailored to their unique needs.

Treating trauma in kids and teens

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence based treatment that helps children and adolescents heal from trauma.

Interactive Therapy techniques for children

Children and teens tend to communicate and learn better through interactive techniques such as art, games, and play. Therapy may include drawing, painting, playing games, and creating sensory objects that focus one’s attention. This gives the child a better avenue for expressing feelings as well as learning new coping skills.
